How it works
Your day. Your way.
Your day. Your way.
A NICE TOURS experience begins with a reservation, not a fixed itinerary. There is no need for extensive research, detailed advance planning, or a long exchange of messages about where to go.
We keep booking simple and leave the enjoyable decisions for the morning of your tour.
1. Choose your day
Select your preferred date, morning meet-up time, and group size. You'll reserve a dedicated guide and premium vehicle for a private day of up to 10 hours.
2. Tell us what you wouldn't want to miss — if anything
Perhaps there's a particular lake, castle, activity, or experience you've always wanted to enjoy. You can mention it when booking through one optional question: “Anything you really don't want to miss?”
That's all the itinerary input we need before the day. If nothing comes to mind, leave it blank.
3. Meet your guide and decide together
At the agreed morning meet-up, you and your guide spend approximately 15–30 minutes choosing the day's direction. Your interests are the starting point; your guide brings local wisdom, practical judgment, and knowledge of the weather, season, travel times, opening hours, and reservations.
Together, you finalize the day's itinerary. This conversation does not count toward the 10-hour daily allowance.
4. Enjoy the journey
Once you're on your way, your guide takes care of the driving, brings the places you visit to life, and helps you enjoy the day at a comfortable pace. When conditions allow, plans can evolve along the way.
5. Finish where you've chosen
Ordinarily, the day ends back at your pickup location. Alternatively, you can select one of our listed drop-off destinations when booking—useful if you're continuing your travels.
Alternative drop-off note: There is no additional fee for our listed destinations. The time your guide needs to return to Ljubljana after drop-off is included in the same up-to-10-hour daily allowance, so the portion spent together will be shorter. This does not affect the additional morning planning conversation.
What about attractions that need reservations?
Some attractions or activities have limited schedules or need advance tickets. If something is especially important, mention it when booking. We may contact you if an essential reservation-related arrangement requires clarification. Otherwise, there's no need for an advance itinerary-planning exchange.
